Almon David WATKINS was born in Hillsdale Michighan on the 13 of march 1917.
He graduated at hillsdale college and joined the army in Fort Sill.
In december 1944 he was sent in europe and joined B company of the 112th infantry regiment, 28th division.
on january the 20 he was seriously wounded by a friendly fire in Belgium during the battle of the Bulge.
He was evacuated and died of his wound in Marseille Hospital on march 20 1945 aged 28 and is burried at American Rhone cemetery in Draguignan southern France
on plot B, row 4, grave 10.
We came in touch with his son and grand daughter in 2013 via social media on the web and are goind on his grave every time we are at the cemetery include every memorial day. Many thanks to the WATKINS family for this help .
