Glynne George MEDLICOTT, né le 20 Septembre 1922, à Church Stretton (UK). Avant la guerre , il occupe un poste de boucher dans son petit village. Il s'engage le 20 septembre 1941 , le jour de ses 19 ans , à Shrewsbury. Tout d'abord incorporé au Royal Berkshire Regiment, il rejoint les parachutistes au debut de l'année 1943 à Larkhill, et est incorporé au 21st Independent Parachute Company, les éclaireurs.
Il sera breveté instructeur armes de poing et conducteur poid lourd , et servira comme Sergent lors des campagnes d'afrique du nord, d'italie, du sud de la france , en grêce et en palestine.
Il est démobilisé en 1947 à Latrun en Paléstine.
Aprés la guerre il reprendra son poste de boucher , et prendra sa retraite en 1988, avec sa femme Peggy et ses deux enfants Paul et Nicholas.

He join the army the day of his 19 years, september 20th, 1941, in Shrewsburry. First incorporated in the Royal Berkshire Regiment, he join para course in Larkhill, early 1943, and is incorporated in the 21st Independent Parachute Coy, the pathfinders.
Whilst with company, he passed course for small arms instructor and heavy good driving.
He served as Sergeant during the campaign of North Africa, Italy, Southern France, Greece and Palestine.
He is demobilised in 1947, in Latrun, Palestine.
After the war he return in his job of butcher , and retired in 1988, with his wife Peggy, and his two sons Paul and Nicholas.
He passed away in early 2019.
